How to care for your jewelry.
Hello from all of us at Seraphim Jewelry.
We have recently gotten questions about how to care for the jewelry you receive and so we have listed some guidelines here:
1) Please do not bath with your jewelry on. Soap scum is the worst for all types of jewelry, especially anything that is gold or silver-plated.
2) Do not wear your jewelry in salt water or the ocean. This is equally bad for all kinds of jewelry and can cause pitting.
3) If you would like to clean your jewelry, use a very soft toothbrush or cloth and a tiny bit of baking soda in water. We prefer spring water since tap water can have various minerals etc in it which can cause discoloration over time.
4) Most sterling pieces are rhodium-plated and therefore should not tarnish. If your silver piece tarnishes then simple silver polish will work to shine it up.
